アフリカの日差しの下、アフロビーツのリズムが街中のスピーカーから流れ出ている。

Under the African sun, the rhythm of Afrobeats flows from speakers throughout the city.

ナイジェリアのラゴスにある小さな録音スタジオで、音楽プロデューサーのタリクとアーティストのナイアが次の曲について議論している。

In a small recording studio in Lagos, Nigeria, music producer Tariq and artist Nia are discussing their next track.

「ナイア、今のトラックは素晴らしいけど、もっと新しい要素を加えるべきだと思うんだ。」タリクがミキサーの前で言った。

"Nia, the current track is great, but I think we should add some new elements," Tariq said in front of the mixer.

「新しい要素？具体的には何？」ナイアは興味深そうに質問した。

"New elements? Like what exactly?" Nia asked with interest.

「ほら、アフロビーツはもともとアフロビートとハイライフから進化したものだろ？

"You know, Afrobeats originally evolved from Afrobeat and Highlife, right?

でも、最近のリスナーはグローバルな影響を求めている。

But today's listeners are looking for global influences.

カリブ海のダンスホールやアメリカのヒップホップからもインスピレーションを受けるといい。」

It would be good to draw inspiration from Caribbean dancehall and American hip-hop too."

ナイアは考え込んだ。

Nia pondered.

「確かに、最近のアーティストたちは色んなジャンルを取り入れてるもんね。

"Indeed, recent artists are incorporating various genres.

でも、伝統を忘れずに進化させるのが難しいんだ。」

But it's hard to evolve without forgetting tradition."

「その通り。

"Exactly.

でも、例えばウィズキッドやバーンア・ボーイを見てみろよ。

But look at Wizkid or Burna Boy, for example.

彼らはアフリカのルーツを大切にしながらも、世界中のトレンドを取り入れているんだ。

They cherish their African roots while incorporating trends from around the world.

君の音楽にもそのバランスが必要だと思う。」

I think your music needs that balance too."

「じゃあ、次のトラックではもっとリズミカルなベースラインを取り入れてみようかな。

"Then maybe I'll try incorporating a more rhythmic bassline in the next track.

それに、少しラップも加えてみるのもいいかも。」ナイアは目を輝かせた。

And maybe add a bit of rap too," Nia said with a sparkle in her eyes.

「それはいいアイデアだよ。

"That's a great idea.

多様性を持つことで、リスナーに何を届けたいのかがより明確になるんだ。」タリクは嬉しそうに頷いた。

Having diversity makes it clearer what you want to deliver to the listeners," Tariq nodded happily.

"Alright, let's lock ourselves in the studio and finish the next track.

ファンを驚かせたいからね。」ナイアは笑いながら言う。

I want to surprise the fans," Nia said with a laugh.
